Notes and News – Week of 4/22/19

HL’s Pieces

Dear Red Lions,

Looks like we had a great TD Day part II with a good dose of sunshine and cotton candy! I hope many of you got a chance to enjoy the afternoon.

As we close out the semester, it seems fitting to feature this great “photo of the week” from the last shift of TD’s only all first-year Buttery crew, titled “Everything Must Go!”  From left to right we have Virginia Davis, Lucie Warga, Francesca Dezza Parada, Franklin Bertellotti, and Carli Roush.  Many thanks to Michael Ai TD ’20 for all of his hard work this year as Buttery Manager! We are excited to welcome aboard Allie Olson TD ‘21 as our new Buttery Manager for next year!

Congratulations to the TD Orchestra and the Yale Undergraduate Choral Society for a great concert last night.  If you missed it, here is a link to our last piece of the evening, “Step Back”, composed by Sam Christopher ‘22 specifically for the TD orchestra.  Enjoy!!!

Seniors, get ready for your big celebration dinner this Tuesday 4/30!  We start in the TD House with a fun Senior Cocktail Hour at 5:30pm.  Then we head outside to the TD courtyard to take the Senior Class photo at 6:15pm.  We go to the TD Dining Hall at 6:30pm for our dinner and program.  All non-seniors, please make arrangements to dine in any of the other dining halls that will be open.  (Please note that Stiles, Morse, Berkeley, Pierson, and JE will also be closed for their senior dinners.)

I hope everyone saw the Study Breaks Schedule that I sent out over the weekend.  Because it’s such a loooong list, I won’t reprint it here.  Please note tonight is the first SAC study break featuring Thai food.  Wednesday 9:40pm is the TD Ten Minute Courtyard Dance Party!

Without further ado, here is a word from Dean Mahurin…

Áshe,
HL
