TD Notes and News – Week of 5/7

HL’s Pieces

Dear Red Lions,

As I write, I see many of you playing volleyball, picking up and moving boxes, and rolling out with suitcases and taking your leave of campus.  Hard to believe – but it is truly the ending of the school year!

You should have all received my college closing email from 4/27 so please refer to that email if you have any questions about boxes, summer storage, furniture, etc.  The College will close on Thursday at 12pm and student ID swipe access will be switched off across the entire campus.  So definitely finish packing and cleaning by 12pm to avoid fines and hassles.

For folks who drew the last exam date and are here to the bitter end, please know that we’ll keep delivering pizza at 10pm tonight and tomorrow night.  We will make sure you are fueled to go for this last push.  You can do it!

As we begin to put the 2017-2018 academic year to bed, I want to share our last “photo of the week” taken by our photographer at last Thursday night.  Congratulations 2018!  You’ll be receiving an email from me later this week on the senior week activities leading up to graduation weekend.

And to the classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021 –  we are so excited you are returning next year!  I wish you all a terrific summer and look forward to hearing from many of you over the summer.  As always, I would love to get a note or a photo and hear about your summer!

For anyone staying in New Haven this summer – continuing student or new grad – Dean Mahurin and I will be organizing another TD courtyard.  Please look for the announcement!

Until then…  get some rest, eat a lot, enjoy the outdoors, and reconnect with family and friends!

Áshe,

HL
