The Downey Room is TD’s space for small events and gatherings. Located above the dining hall, the Downey Room has a 16-person capacity and allows students to host small dinners, club meetings, acapella auditions, and more. All students are welcome to reserve the Downey Room.
Reservation Instructions
1. The Downey Room is available for use only with a confirmed reservation.
2. The Downey Room must be reserved a minimum of 24 hours in advance
3. Reservation requests must be made to Timothy Dwight dining hall manager, Kristin Elliott via email
4. Group size may not exceed room capacity of 16 people as determined by Yale Fire Marshal
5. The Downey Room is only available during regularly scheduled meal/dining service hours
6. All guests in attendance must pay for their meal upon entering dining hall
7. If guests move furniture from established configuration, the room must be returned to original configuration before guests leave
8. Only Yale Hospitality produced food is permitted in dining hall/Downey Room
9. Egress must be made through main dining hall entrance by desk attendant
