Timothy Dwight First Year Counselors (FroCos) 2022 - 2023 

Harrison Bushnell

Harrison Bushnell (he/him) is from Middlesex, Vermont and is an American Studies major focusing on racial and economic inequity in the U.S. He is part of the Yale Undergraduate Prison Project (YUPP), the Yale Club Ultimate Frisbee team, a First-Year Outdoor Orientation Trip (FOOT) leader, an intramural sports enthusiast, and a residential aide in Timothy Dwight. 

During his free time, Harrison enjoys playing courtyard soccer, learning new songs on piano, taking photographs of beautiful TD sunsets, getting outside to hike, and meeting new people. He’s super excited to get to know the class of 2026! 
 
 

Yilin Chen

Yilin (she/her) is from Beijing, China and is double majoring in Economics and Global Affairs, along with a certificate in French. On campus, she conducts economics research through the Tobin research assistant program, competes on the Yale team for the Federal Reserve Challenge (a monetary policy competition), and as a member of the Guild of Carillonneurs, enthusiastically wakes people up from their naps by ringing the 54-bell carillon in Harkness Tower. She has also served as a counselor for the orientation for international students. In her free time, Yilin loves watching musicals, taking photos of sunsets, baking, and trying bizarre Wordle variants. She’s so excited to welcome the class of 2026 to TD!

 

Sophia Hall
(Head FroCo)

Sophia Hall (she/her/hers) is from Washington (State, originally, but now D.C.!), majoring in Theater and Performance Studies and pursuing a certificate in Advanced French Language Study. She may have moved, but please ask her about Seattle so she can tell you why it’s such an excellent place to live! On campus she has been a part of the Yale Drama and Heritage Theater Ensemble, and has worked for the Afro American Cultural Center and Student Technology Collaborative. She also loves directing and acting in independent student plays and films, and writing essays about all the thoughts bouncing around in her head.

She spends her free time (and sometimes her not-so-free time) running and hiking, trying to learn more about analog photography and videography, crocheting, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race (every season, over and over and over…), and laying in the TD hammocks looking up at the sky. Welcome to the TD Family, 2026!!!

Eric Jimenez

Eric Jimenez (he/him) is from Peekskill, NY, studying Ethnicity, Race, and Migration while pursuing an Education Studies certificate. On-campus he has been involved in the Dominican Students Association, is a member of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated, and worked in the TD Buttery.

In his free time, Eric is passionate about music and skateboarding, and on a sunny day, you can often catch him blasting a mix of Rico Nasty and Bad Bunny as he skates around campus. Eric also loves to play Super Smash Bros. Melee and Rocket League, and he is so excited to welcome the class of 2026 to campus!

Megha Joshi

Megha (she/her) is majoring in Computer Science and Economics with a certificate in Statistics & Data Science. She is from Salem, Oregon and is extremely passionate about all things Pacific Northwest. At Yale, she does research for the Interactive Machines Group and is actively involved on the Women and Gender Minorities in Computer Science (WGiCS) board. She has also served on the board for the South Asian Society.

In her free time, Megha loves to hangout at Koffee, watch way too much Netflix and dance on Rangeela (Yale’s Bollywood dance team!). She is extremely excited to meet the class of 2026 and welcome you to our amazing TD community!

Max Moen

Max Moen (he/him) is from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and double majoring in History and Global Affairs, along with an Advanced Language Certificate in German. On campus, he is involved with the Yale Glee Club, Yale’s primary undergraduate choir. He has also worked with Yale Library’s Fortunoff Archive and as a tutor at the Yale Center for Language Study. 

Max likes spending quality time with friends, trying new restaurants in New Haven, talking about why Brandi Carlile is an underrated artist, and reading John Steinbeck novels. He looks forward to welcoming the Class of 2026 to their new home, Timothy Dwight College!

 

Ben Scher

Ben Scher (he/him) is from Madison, WI and is an Economics major and pursuing a Data Science certificate. He has been involved in MathCounts Outreach, Yale Undergraduate Diversified Investments, and the Yale Daily News. Most importantly, he is an active member of the Timothy Dwight community, working as an Intramural Secretary for the past two years (helping provide TD its 14th Tyng Cup), volunteering in the Buttery, and now serving as Chief Aide for the Head of College Office. He also worked as a Peer Liaison for the Student Accessibility Services.

During his free time, Ben enjoys watching basketball, playing Sudoku on his phone, listening to music, and winning intramural competitions. He is extremely excited to welcome the class of 2026 to the TD community!

Alysha Siddiqi

Alysha Siddiqi (she/her) is a Political Science major with a certificate in Global Health Studies on the Pre-Medicine track. She is from Edmond, Oklahoma, but has family roots in Lahore, Pakistan. At Yale, Alysha has been involved with the Chaplain’s Office as a Peer Liaison, Yalies for Pakistan and Muslim Life at Yale, amongst other student groups. Most of her time is spent working at the Yale Institute for Global Health, conducting research on social mixing patterns, infectious diseases and maternal immunizations with Dr. Saad B. Omer’s group. 

During her free time, Alysha enjoys spending time with her former roommates (they’ve been together since first-year, shout out Dean!), sipping a matcha from Loose-Leaf, and exploring Yale and the surrounding areas with her friends. She loves to read (please send book recommendations), pretend to be a karaoke star (she’s definitely not) and travel to new places (especially somewhere with a great brunch spot). She is extremely excited to meet the Class of 2026, and cannot wait to welcome them to TD! 

 

Laura Vera Contreras

Laura (she/her) is a senior majoring in Sociology with a concentration in Economy and Society and a certificate in Education Studies. She has moved several times but she is from Merida, Venezuela and calls Tampa, Florida home. During her time at Yale, she has been an advising fellow for Matriculate, a residential college aide for Timothy Dwight College (the best residential college), a board member of Latina Women at Yale, and she has had several on and off campus jobs. 

During her free time you will find her at Jitterbus waiting for a chai, in Commons eating lunch, or in the buttery waiting for a snack. She listens to all kinds of music – yes, all kinds. Even country, even heavy metal. NOT EDM, however. She loves to talk about social media trends, fashion, journaling and pilates. For her senior year, she is most looking forward to getting to know the class of 2026.

Lucie Warga

Lucie (she/her) is from Washington, DC and is majoring in Environmental Studies. She loves everything related to food, and in her free time she enjoys cooking and visiting restaurants and coffee shops around New Haven. On campus, Lucie spends time working at the Yale Farm and playing Club Ultimate Frisbee. She is super excited to meet and welcome TD’s class of 2026!
