TIMOTHY DWIGHT NOTES & NEWS

WEEK OF 4/17/2023

HL’S PIECES

Dear Red Lions,

We had an incredible week bookended by the Anderson Cooper Chubb events and then the SAC Spring Formal and Berry Brunch!  As you’ll see below, we are keeping programming very light this week to give the TD staff and aides team a well deserved rest!

But how about this for a terrific “photo of the week” – Anderson Cooper sporting the latest TD merch!!!

To see the video of the Anderson Cooper talk and more pictures of the Anderson Cooper events, please go to the Chubb Fellowship website!

And I have more photos to share…

For photos of the SAC formal, please go to this link.

Here is the link to the TD Sophomore Dinner photos from The Luke taken by our wonderful photographer, Isabel Chenoweth.  You will need to type in “Luke23” for the password. All the photos are downloadable for free.  You are also welcome to purchase your own prints or high resolution photos on the website.

Last but not least, I am resending the link to the Mott Paintball trip.  Apparently the last link I sent out did not work so trying again.

Here are some more important deadlines and exciting events coming up for the rest of the week:

Week of 4/17 “Take Your Professor Out to Dinner Week” (TD Dining Hall)

We are once again running this event for anyone who did not get a chance to invite a professor to dinner last time.  Again, one invitation per student.  Please sign in your professor at the desk.  Off-campus students may also eat for free.

Tuesday 4/18 5:15pm Last TD Senior Mellon Forum (TD House)

We are winding up our TD Senior Mellon Forum series for the 2022-3 academic year with four wonderful presentations by Pablo Causa, Rebecca Huang, Zev Kazati-Morgan, and Harrison Bushnell.  Dinner begins at 5:15pm with presentations starting at 5:45pm.

Monday 4/24 5:30-6:30pm TD Spin Class (Paine Whitney Gym, 8th Floor)

TD Graduate Fellow, Audrey Smith, is offering a free spin class for TD students only.   Space is limited so a sign-up form will be forthcoming.

Dean Mahurin does not have a lot to report for this week.  But she asked me to share this important set of dates:

After such a busy week we are settling into a quieter and slower pace to regroup for the end of the semester.  TD Day will be on Friday April 28th!  So please save the date!

Àshe,
