Notes and News - Week of May 2, 2016

May 3, 2016

Dear Red Lions,

Last week was quite the roller coaster with President Salovey’s email message regarding the names of Calhoun and the 2 new colleges as well as the change in the title of “master”.  I know it will be a while before we will be used to the title change and we will continue to process the college names as a whole.  With final papers and exams with us, we’ll need to put on hold some of these discussions for a later date.  That said, I want to reiterate that Dean and I are here to talk if you need to reach out to us.

On a gloomy day like today, I hope these two “photos of the week” bring you lots of sunshine.  The first is from Nick Kelly TD ’17 and is titled “Inside the Fun/Terror Dome” taken on TD Day last Friday.  My children had a lot of fun with all the students trying to dodge the many balls while bouncing up and down!

The second photo pretty much speaks for itself.  Today is June’s 1st birthday and we had the great fun of serenading her in the TD dining hall during our lunch service.  If you can’t tell by the beautiful bright smile, this is one very happy birthday baby!!!

Aside from the study breaks (see below), we have our TD senior dinner this Tuesday evening on May 3rd.  So all non-seniors should plan to eat in Commons.

I hope folks managed to get some good rest last night and are ready to dive into the work of final papers and exams.  Here is the TD study break schedule again for the reading and exam periods:
